I got arrested the other day and the way the cop acted seemed botched?

so my homegirl and i were drivin and a cop pulled up behind us. i freaked out and turned into a neigborhood and the cop followed. i stoped at a stop sign and turned right but didnt stop all the way. he pulled us over and i took out my liscense and he was like "sir u didnt stop all the way and u seemed to be avoidin me, i was followin the car in front of you but u were actin suspicious' and im like officer i dont kno, were goin to my friends house he lives at this and that street" "well son thats far away" i gave him my liscense and started lookin for my registration and he was like "do u have any drugs on you" no sir. He didnt ask if i was intoxicated, didnt say he smelt weed, abut he said get out of the car" then he asked do u mind if i search u. well he found my wee din my pocket, and then ran my liscense and what not. then he searched my ar then he asked if my homegirl had anything and i said no, then he let her take my keys adn drive off. he arrested me, took me to jail then read me my rights. i dont think it was right how before he even looked at my registration or ran my liscense, and had no suspicion other then i was actin nervous and seemed to avoid him, but i did run that stop sign. is what he did was botched or am i just gettin somethin confused. he didnt say i looked intoxicated or anything about a smell, he just asked me to step out before he ran my stuff. he didnt even look at my insurance or registration
